Full-Time and Part-Time Day Service Co-Worker
Salary £24,578 rising annually to £26,478
Role 1: Full-time hours 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Role 2: Part-Time 21.24 hours per week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
We are seeking two staff members who share our values and have the experience and skills to support adults with learning disabilities on a one-to-one basis to participate in meaningful work within our day service.
The posts require someone who is creative and happy to learn new skills as well as bring their own to the workshops. A musical ability and willingness to share this is also highly beneficial. Together with our members with learning disabilities we aim to produce unique items for our annual fairs and for our community. We value and often focus on crafts around seasonal changes and preparation for specific festivals.
Ideally you would have an interest in one of the craft areas, however this is not essential. What is more important is the capacity to work positively with individuals with autism and complex needs. Our workshops include; Pottery, Textiles, Garden work, Printing, Woodwork and maintenance of our Estate.
Previous experience of working with adults with learning disabilities is essential, as is a good understanding of autism and the needs of people who use different forms of communication and a confidence in working with people with behaviour that challenges.
Tiphereth is a Camphill community based on the edge of the Pentland hills in Edinburgh supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism in a range of day services, supported living, residential care, and social enterprises.

Relief Day Service Co-Worker
Salary is 14.12 per hour. This rate is the Scottish Living Wage plus 12.07% to statutory Annual leave entitlement
