Most Foundation Students come in their gap-year before university. Tiphereth is only able to offer places to people who are able to stay for a year as a volunteer.

Tiphereth Day Service (working outdoors)
37.5 hours per week
Salary – £23,725
Tiphereth Day Service has an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader who will lead and organise a small group of adults with learning disabilities and autism to enable them to participate in meaningful outdoor land-based work. The Team Leader will manage the staff team and lead by example through providing direct support to people.
The Peregrine Group work outdoors in community projects across Edinburgh and the Lothians and support adults with learning disabilities and autism to work on a wide range of community based conservation and garden projects using tools and developing skills. From gardening to building stone walls, to repairing fences and paths, to building raised beds and many other tasks, the group is engaged with helping charities deliver their mission for the benefit of the public.
We are looking for someone with relevant care and support experience, who has enthusiasm and experience in outdoor conservation/garden work, and a full driving licence.

RESIDENTIAL MANAGER (Maternity Cover) SUPPORTED LIVING
Salary – £32,506.50 per annum.
Tiphereth is growing and an opportunity for maternity cover has arisen, as we seek a temporary Residential Manager (Supported Living) to provide cover for 10 to 12 months. Shadowing the existing post holder for at least one month, the role will come at a stimulating time, with our new flats and a house opening and a team of 16 staff requiring support during this development.
Key aspects of the role will include:
– Managing and developing the supported living service.
– Continuing to recruit and induct the staff team and support all staff and their families.
– The successful candidate will have experience of managing a care service.
Tiphereth is a medium sized charity in Colinton, Edinburgh, on the edge of the Pentland Hills. We are a growing dynamic care organisation aspiring to lead in Scotland’s care provision.

Local Volunteers in Our Day Service
There are always opportunities for members of the public to become a local volunteer in any of our workshops or supporting our trading projects. This is a great chance to learn about community living, adult care work, to meet new people and to gain experience. Many of our members of staff started their careers by volunteering.
